Rosie is an expert on lithium-ion battery recycling and also supports Exawatt’s analysis of battery supply chains. She joined Exawatt in October 2022 on a three-month internship as part of the Faraday Institution’s PhD industry placement programme.

Beth Murdock
Beth supports Exawatt’s energy storage team, modelling demand for current- and next-generation battery materials. After finishing an internship with Exawatt in November 2022, she has continued to work part-time while completing her PhD in next-generation cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries at Imperial College London.
Edward Rackley

Edward Rackley
Ed uses his electrochemical materials knowledge to inform our supply chain analysis and bottom-up cost modelling. He has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Sheffield, specialising in solid oxide fuel cell anodes. Ed’s industrial experience includes research into novel battery current collectors and spinel cathode synthesis.

Aaron Wade
Aaron focuses on detailed cost modelling for current- and next-generation cells in Exawatt’s energy storage team. He joined Exawatt as part of the Faraday Institution PhD industry placement programme in May 2021 and became a part-time research analyst in August 2021.
Adam Dawson

Adam Dawson
Adam is responsible for Exawatt’s silicon carbide and power electronics analysis. He has an MSci in Mathematics from the University of Bristol. Adam has applied his interest in mathematical modelling and physics to power semiconductors and power electronics systems.

Rebecca provides Exawatt’s power electronics team with monitoring and analysis of the SiC supply chain, combining her research skills and an eye for detail to expand our knowledge of the power electronics industry while maintaining high editorial standards. She has degree in History from the University of Birmingham.

Alex Barrows
Alex heads up Exawatt’s solar PV research, with a particular focus on forecasting the efficiency and cost evolution of solar technologies in order to understand when and how new technologies will influence the PV market. He obtained his PhD in the physics of perovskite-based solar cells from the University of Sheffield.
Molly Morgan
Senior Research Analyst (PV)
Molly Morgan
Molly supports the PV team by tracking and forecasting evolutions in solar module efficiency and architecture, as well as providing analysis of capacity, production, and financial data for PV manufacturers. She has an undergraduate degree in Physics and a postgraduate degree in Solar Cell Technology, both from the University of Sheffield.

Elijah Santos
Elijah focuses on EV powertrain analysis and vehicle demand forecasting, and brings a system-level outlook to Exawatt’s work in power electronics and energy storage. Elijah has an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University.

Harry focuses on modelling the current state of the electric vehicle market to inform our research in energy storage and power electronics. After finishing an internship in January 2021, he has continued to work part-time for Exawatt while finishing his studies in Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh.

Sam began working with Exawatt in 2020 as our Head of Operations, on a part-time basis, working closely with Simon to scale up our operation. At the same time as joining us, Sam established her own company, Oliver King Consulting Limited, where she helps other local SMEs recruit sustainably.
John Walker

John Walker
John joined Exawatt as Chairman in 2020. One of Exawatt’s earliest customers, John was formerly CEO of The Quartz Corp, a joint venture between IMERYS and Norsk Mineral that supplies the world’s highest-purity quartz to the solar, semiconductor and fibreoptic markets. John grew the company from a new entrant to the second-largest player in the high-purity quartz market.

Simon Price
Simon founded Exawatt in 2015. Prior to this, he co-founded PV Tech Group, which provided factory design and integration services to solar PV manufacturers, and was a co-founder of a wet chemical technology company dedicated to improving solar cell efficiency.
